Known Issue: Facebook Account Creation and Niantic ID [Updated]

Hi Ballers,
Those of you who created your NBA All-World account using Facebook authentication may have noticed that you do not see your other Niantic game accounts connected to NBA All-World at this time. We are working on getting everything connected, so we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.
Who’s impacted: Ballers who created their NBA All-World account using Facebook authentication and already play other Niantic games using that Facebook account.
What this means:
- Friends you’ve made in other games won’t be automatically added to your NBA All-World friends list
- Invites- you won’t be able to invite friends from other games to NBA All-World
- Campfire- if you jump into Campfire from NBA All-World, you’ll have a different account for socializing with the community and will need to set up a new Niantic ID
- Niantic Profile- you will notice that other games you play are missing from the ‘Game Profiles’ section of your Niantic profile
You can still invite friends who are already playing NBA All-World to be your friend in the game using their friend code.
We’re looking forward to getting your account connected to the rest of your Niantic experiences!

Update - February 15 @ 12:05PM
We are beginning account migration to restore full functionality of existing Niantic account and social features for Ballers impacted by the Facebook authentication issue.
Who’s impacted: Ballers who created their NBA All-World account using Facebook authentication and already play other Niantic games using that Facebook account.
What will happen:
- Your NBA All-World account will be reconnected to the Niantic account associated with your other Niantic games.
- Friends: you will be able to correctly see friends from other games in your NBA All-World friends list. If you added new friends in NBA All-World, you will need to re-add those friends. If you have sent or received any in-game DMs, those will not be available after the migration.
- Campfire: your existing groups and Campfire history will be restored. If you joined new groups while playing NBA All-World, you may need to rejoin those groups. If you sent or received any Campfire messages, those may not be available after the migration.
- Niantic Profile: you will see your Niantic ID and profile information associated with all Niantic games you play in the ‘Game Profiles’ section, along with all your settings and Adventure Sync progress. If you changed any settings since playing NBA All-World, including blocking or removing any friends, please check to make sure those settings are still correct.
A small number of people may see additional changes. If you have multiple NBA All-World accounts and log in using Facebook, we will migrate your game progression to your most recently logged in account.
If you notice any issues with your account, please reach out for support by March 15, 2023 via in app chat or at [email protected]. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
