Server Disconnected Error but Tourney Game Continued

Entered the Lunar New Year Tourney, lvl 10-17. On the third game and got an error that Server was disconnected. Meanwhile the game continued to play in the background but message never disappeared. Tried to reset the app and game was recorded as a loss.
